Veral
We constructed a miniature underground room for this movie. The walls were in sections and constructed to disassemble and ship to the shooting stage, to be reassembled. This also allowed the director to remove walls to change the camera angles, providing great versatility. The walls sat on a textured wood floor which could be drilled into to secure small puppets.
We also created the puppets- sculpting the heads, modifying existing bodies and using a combination of “off the rack” and custom clothing for the characters. They are 1:6 scale (approximately 11” tall)
