Toronto Life Magazine

Toronto Life magazine needed photographs to accompany a story about bad renovations going on in Toronto. They explained there was a growing problem of contractors doing really shoddy work and leaving work sites a big mess, and often not finishing jobs. We were given a few particulars to illustrate such as the hole in the bathroom floor and tarps everywhere and then were left to flesh out the rest.

The interior of the bathroom remains a favorite image after all these years. The limited space made for a tight shot with lots of details which I think made it a very potent image. The light in the space  was also very successful in reading as daylight.
