We met with chef Barbara Lynch in Boston to review plans for her restaurant, Sportello, and her ideas for it’s website. She had used artwork for the websites for several of her other restaurants. She knew my work and wanted Kathleen and I to create a model, and eventually photographs, of her new venture. We were given a tour of the raw space, color swatches, materials list, and scale drawings to aid the construction process. We later got designs of their packaging and menu to really bring out the details.

It was exciting to be building something that didn’t exist yet, but that also added another layer to the challenge - not having actual references. I focused on the building of the space because it turns out Kathleen has a real knack for making miniature food. She loved it!

The client was very pleased and continued to use our images for many years on her site.
