This was an installation in a pop-up store in Soho NY. The concept was to combine the items found in a traditional bodega deli case with the idea of coast to coast travel. We used foods relevant to the different regions to populate the case. For example- Chicago had towers of different sausages, the midwest had casseroles and pies, the Northeast had a lobster, Texas was a big steak, and the Rocky Mountains were a large pile of meat items. The food is all life-size, created from rigid foam, upholstery foam, plastic sheet, latex, and paint.
