Field & Stream Magazine

We were asked to illustrate scenes for hunting, fishing, and camping for Field and Stream magazine. They magazine told us the specific points they needed for the story, and the specs for the layout and then we got to design the rest.

We used the standard model materials for creating most of the landscape elements. Real sticks and twigs from a local park turned into “life-size” logs and tree trunks. Crumpled leaves became litter on the forest floor in the hunting scene. Kathleen modified existing figures, customizing them for each scene.
