CLM agency photographer and filmmaker Lacey approached us to create four miniature sets for a fashion feature in Details Magazine. The theme was “Rebel,” and we immediately envisioned gritty, iconic environments where young rebels might stir up trouble: a barbershop, a bar, an alley, and a subway car.

To execute the concept, Lacey photographed her models in advance, then printed and cut them out as paper figures—intentionally embracing their flat, graphic quality. These figures were placed into our meticulously crafted miniature sets, creating a playful, layered aesthetic that felt both stylized and immersive.

We had long wanted to create sets for a project this inventive, and Lacey’s vision gave us the perfect opportunity to do so.
