We were commissioned by the Word Museum to create a diorama inspired by Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. We chose to depict a dramatic underwater scene with the characters exploring the ocean floor, while a menacing sea creature looms above. The seabed was carefully raked to create visual depth and guide the viewer’s eye through the composition.
