This installation was created for a pop-up store in SoHo, New York. The concept combined the familiar aesthetic of a traditional bodega deli case with the idea of coast-to-coast travel across the United States. Each region was represented by iconic food items: Chicago featured towers of sausages, the Midwest had casseroles and pies, the Northeast displayed a lobster, Texas boasted a giant steak, and the Rocky Mountains were represented by a dramatic pile of meats. 

All of the food items were life-sized and handcrafted from a mix of rigid foam, upholstery foam, plastic sheet, latex, and paint—carefully sculpted and painted to evoke the look (but thankfully not the smell) of a fully stocked deli counter.
