New York Times - Arts and Leisure

We created a miniature, abandoned theater for the cover of the New York Times Arts & Leisure section (May 10th edition). The accompanying article focused on the Covid forced closing of the = Broadway production of Mrs. Doubtfire so we recreated its stage set in 1:12 scale. The scene features a single ghost light—a traditional symbol of an empty theater—casting its glow across the vacant stage. Lori focused on building the theater’s architectural structure, while I created the signature wig on its stand, along with the ghost light itself.
