This was our first original artwork specifically for a book cover. The book designer had the basic concept laid out and reached out to us to give it “the Lori Nix treatment”. This “treatment” generally means using miniatures, that are still kind of recognizable as miniatures, in a humorous way.
Kathleen was able to draw on her faux finishing past to make the curtain flats that set the stage for the mini mob looking up in awe. It was great fun to make the image. Our friend Dan was honored to be chosen to portray the hand of God.
